Katy Perry sings "Hot N Cold" with Elmo on Sesame Street!

Big Bird: 'Never refer to me as an item. I`m a bird.'

It's interesting how most of us still nurse a soft spot for the lovable characters of Sesame Street. The red fur ball Elmo, the eternally hungry Cookie Monster, the forever counting Count are just a few who have succeeded in capturing our hearts forever. It was obvious just how much these furry characters have snared our hearts, from the squeals of delight me and my colleagues gave when googling them this morning.Although there was some dispute as to the cuteness of Elmo and his baby voice, everyone seemed to agree that bright yellow Big Bird and brown and cuddly Snuffy are the epitomes of Sesame Street. Sesame Street brought a sense of childhood innocence when counting sheep with the Count and singing along with Zoe, and it would keep us smiling the whole day through. I suppose as world weary adults now we can relate more to the rants of Oscar the grouch and actually sympathize with him. It's true we all would love to live in the ever friendly neighborhood of Sesame Street. However, we seem to have lost that angelic purity and unsophisticated sense of wonder somewhere along the way. But Sesame Street has definitely not lost it's magic as it succeeded in charming an otherwise dull Wednesday morning into a much needed walk down memory lane.

Another year over...

I can't believe more than a year has passed since I last wrote here. I suppose I get a bit sentimental when it comes to December and the end of another year. Hence ,I'm back to writing my thoughts down.Countless new adventures have happened since I last shared my thoughts here. However, the most important part is that I believe I have changed.(for the better I hope, although some may disagree)But as always life does flow on and we might as well make the best of it.

One important lesson I learned this year has been never to undermine yourself or think that you can not do something which others can. I was under the impression that I am an absolute dummy when it comes to handicraft ,but this year I discovered otherwise. I tried my hand at card making and found that my mind actually felt happy to be creating those simple cards with love and care. It has been a revelation and I intend to continue this mind therapy until my mind tires of it and requests some other form of therapy.

And so I shall share some of my humble attempts at card making :)
